About Me:
As a, ‘Retired, Preschool/Special Ed. Teacher’, I usually took care of my students, sometimes more than their families could so, looking for someone, who has similar interests such as, the culture of the city, travel, no problem, showing public affection & eventually, a type of ‘committed relationship’. My only ‘NO’s’ are, smoking, seeking to be with someone, when, you already are & are not ready to out the woman in your life, first(not meaning over a priority such as your children) but, over your, ‘buddies’, sometimes. I was born, Jewish but, only went to temple, for major holidays or events(family weddings or friends Bar/Bat Mitvah’s). My parents, did ‘dwell’ on it after we grew up. Over time, I considered, ‘Buddhism’ since, it was was a more non-judgemental practice. As far as travel, instead of with my family,(we all went to Isreal, for my Cousin’s BarMitzvah. )I enjoyed more trips, on my own, so I could explore places, never been to. Such as, on a cruise to Cancun or, most recently, I joined a tour group, to Italy.
My Ideal Match:
I am a kind, loving lady, who misses all the things, I used to do, on my own such as, seeing the Theatre, exploring a museum or just seeing a movie since, now I use a ‘Walker’, due to learning, dealing with stress of, ‘Chronic Pain’ but, on pain meds so can do an errand a day, sometimes, involves, going to my old neighborhood(Upper East Side), where even new Mayor, is also trying get, 1/2 done with the’Subway Connections’, that no one has(still a mess there). Mostly, miss, going to family home in the Hamptons, due to the stairs, leading up to, what was, ‘my room’. I joke that maybe, could get, ‘Hypnotized’ in forgetting that is now my life! Hardest part, is that is where, my Dad lives so, only seen him twice, since he’s been back from Miami(goes there during our winters). Once, he came here, for a doctor appointment & I suffered on a bus, to go there but, only for the day since, staying over, would mean, kicking out his ‘night nurses’, he has 24/7 care, due to his, ‘Parkinson’s which has Accelerated in his late 80’s(Thank God, for Michael J Fox’s Foundation’!)
Also, even though, it’s been years, still miss my Mom(died of, ‘Stage 4, Ovarian Cancer), as I was first, her, ‘Care Taker’, then after she passed, his(though, all of us had noticed, his hand movements before, she was diagnosed). As far as me, I always suspected health issues but, not untilApril of, 2022, when I finally met a Female Doctor who diagnosed me, as suffers from an ‘Auto Immune Disease’(definition was putting all past health issues together!) but, called, ‘Mixed Connected Tissue Disease’, meaning always have to keep my eye out, for any symptoms, of any other issues. Boy, sounds like I’m a ‘fun time’ huh?! ha ha! but, really, I’m the same person, inside as always except, the physical pain, isn’t as noticeable, as my sadness for missing, being w/my family as much as, I would like to be. But, such as life. In comparison, to 2 men, my hero's, my Dad & his Older Brother, who lives in Miami(Yes, my Dad started spending a few months, w/him, a walk away, form his home & now, goes from, Nov., to beginning of May). Which, my family, uses as an excuse to visit him there, while also, leaving the winters here! My last trip, was a bit there, was a difficult one, as flying has been harder, due to the physical constraints though, use a ‘Wheelchair’ to board & when I arrive at both destinations too. So, that’s my update, with one tip, I AM SO WORTH THE EFFORT! And no matter what, you could make a new friend, for life so, let’s hang out?!
