I’m Retired… But I’m Not Sitting Around Waiting for Life to Happen

Retired, independent, happy, and at a point in life where I know exactly what I want—and what I don’t. I’ve got plenty of time on my hands these days, and I’d much rather spend it with a woman who makes me smile, keeps me laughing, and maybe gets me into a little trouble now and then. 😏

I was married for 27 years, so you could say I have a pretty impressive track record when it comes to commitment. I’ve been widowed for five years, and although that chapter will always be an important part of my story, I’m not living in the past. I’m ready for the next chapter—and hopefully, it includes a woman who is just as excited about what life still has to offer.

I’m definitely not the “sit on the couch and watch TV every night” type. I like to do things. Motorcycles, photography, art, music, exploring, good food, road trips, trying something new just because it sounds fun… I’m in. And if the chemistry is right, I’m perfectly capable of staying home too. 😉 In fact, I suspect two people who really enjoy each other's company don't need much entertainment.

I’m funny, sarcastic, straightforward, and occasionally just enough of a smartass to keep things interesting. I don't sweat the little stuff. When life throws a problem at me, I don't panic—I figure out what needs to be done and fix it. I'm also honest to a fault. If you ask me what I think, you're going to get the real answer… although I may give it to you with a smile.

And then there’s food.

I spent 20 years as an Executive Chef, so yes, I can actually cook. Really cook. I love creating new recipes, experimenting in the kitchen, and cooking for someone I care about. There’s something pretty great about sitting across the table from someone you’re attracted to, sharing a great meal, a bottle of wine, and conversation that lasts much longer than either of you expected.

Fair warning: if you become my favorite person to cook for, you may get spoiled.

I believe relationships should be fun, affectionate, honest, and passionate. When I’m with someone, I’m all in. I don’t believe in cheating, playing games, keeping backup options, or wondering where you stand. If I choose you, you’ll know it.

I’m attracted to a woman who is confident in herself, has a good sense of humor, enjoys affection, and isn't afraid to flirt a little. Someone who can laugh at herself, challenge me occasionally, and isn't afraid to say, “Pack a bag—we’re going somewhere.”

I’m not looking to collect dates. I’m looking for one woman worth deleting this profile for.
