About Me:
I am your regular guy. I was born and raised in Alaska, and have done all the Alaskan things. I have slowed down a lot in my recent years, and am not as energetic as I used to be. I still enjoy docile things like camping and walks though. I am pretty much a home body. I really enjoy spending time with friends, but do not have a large circle of them. I am not very close with family at all. I was married for 17 years, but have not had physical affection for the last 12. My love language is definitely touch, as well as pretty much everything else. Touch, however, is a must, where the others aren't so crucial. I am a blue collar worker, and make a modest living. However, I have an agreement with my ex that I will send her what amounts to a large portion of my paychecks each month. This is instead of alimony. When she can support herself, I will cut back on what I give her. BUT, that means I don't have a lot of money for expensive dates, travel, or a lot of life's enjoyments. Thus, a homebody. I guess I could be described as a geek. I like Dungeons and Dragons, and play it often. My favorite toy is my laptop. I don't have grandiose plans for the future. My lack of income pretty much restricts that. But I am a down to earth, everyday kind of joe. I enjoy peaceful environments. Even though I don't seem to have a lot going for me, I am a wonderful companion, and believe that if I treat someone as I would like to be treated... especially in a relationship... that peaceful environment will come about. I can keep up a conversation about most things, but do not like having to carry the conversation all the time. I am a Christian, but am not very good at it. I attended Bible college for a couple of years, and know enough about Christianity to share my faith, but I only do so if someone is interested in hearing about it. I don't preach, or shove my faith down anybody's throat. I may not seem to have a lot going for me, but I am confident that I can treat someone with love and affection, and will make someone a very loyal and trustworthy companion in their everyday lives. I tend to my mostly blind and deaf mother, while she is still with us. She turned 90 this year (2023), and we are not sure how much longer she will be with us. I am dedicated to her though, so you need to take that into consideration.

I am looking for a best friend... someone to hang out with on weekends, or go places with. I am interested in fwb, but I'm more interested in the "f" part of that equation. I am not so much interested in intercourse, but I am in need of physical contact. The person I'm looking for must like movies and tv. The genres I am particularly fond of are SciFi and Fantasy. I am pretty open though, but war, westerns and horror aren't my style at all. I would love to find someone who can cook, but that, also, is not an absolute necessity.
