I don't fit stereotypes very well. While I clean up well, and come across as a clean-cut boy-next-door educated professional I am a pretty hardcore old-school punk (as in: NOFX, Social D, DKs, Bad Religion, Pennywise, Bad Brains, but I do also go Greenday & Blink-182 shows too), socially and politically progressive (as in: the sort who brings their kids to protests; if you own a MAGA hat don't bother.). Also, I into outdoor sports (climbing, mtn biking, skiing, mountaineering, backpacking, canoeing), but also love to cook, travel (have made it to a handful of countries in Asia, Africa, Europe, and even N. America). I am mostly normal, but don't let that fool you. I am probably a lot less judgmental than most, and sometimes am a bit too willing to give people the benefit of the doubt (seriously, I even tried dating two different Trump supporters (at different times). Seriously! But the inability to actually deal with the real world, facts, logic, science, reason, etc. was sort of a stumbling block.)
I am sort of a smart a**. It is a mistake to take everything I say too seriously. Or anything. On the other hand, I am almost never 100% in jest. Real life is amusing.
I am open,tend to be pretty direct/honest,try to be kind, and believe in talking about issues/problems/questions. Not very good at relationship "games", TBH. If I am upset, I will say something cryptic like "I am upset" (and probably say why, and it probably isn't with you. If you do something I don't like, I will just say so. If its a problem I will try to find out how we find a mutual solution, and will try to avoid saying things that hurt your feelings.
I am just not into toxic behavior, it just doesn't work... If you ever suspect me of having any sort of hidden motive or "talking in code" you really are over interpreting something, LOL I really am far too simple/lazy to be anything other than direct. If you ask me if I want to do something and I say "yes", it means I want to do it. If I say "no, I would rather not" it means I would rather not. If I say "I am fine with it if you want to" I mean that I am fine with it if its something you want to do. I also keep my promises--its about karma. Even thought I am not the jealous type, and can function in open relationships, if we decide that we are going to be monogamous you don't need to worry about me.

My Ideal Match:
As far as what I am "looking for" I am looking for someone(s), not something. I figure that the relationship part figures itself out over time once you get to know someone, and I am over having to commit to an exclusive long term relationship before the first date. (Seriously. If it was only one, or two, women who have made that a stipulation I wouldn't have to say anything, would I?) I am up for fun, casual (kinky) playmates, friends-with-benefits (and take the 'friends' pretty seriously), open relationships, long term attachments, or whatever it is that works out for us.
