That year turned into ten, and I eventually returned to the United States in 2008—not to Tennessee, but to the Portland, Oregon area, which I soon began to call home. Although I am Canadian-American, my ex-wife and children are Taiwanese. I spent a significant part of my life in Asia, including eight years on the beautiful island of Taiwan. Having loved two incredible women, my ex-wife and my daughter, who are both Asian, I feel a natural connection to Asian culture. That said, I believe all women are extraordinary and captivating in unique ways. There’s a certain mystery to the feminine essence that calls to men—and I find myself drawn to that mystery.
While living in Asia, I pursued my education in philosophy, theology, and comparative religions. Though I initially intended to complete a PhD, life took me in different directions, and it remains a goal I hope to achieve someday. I’ve also had the privilege of teaching undergraduate students at several universities and schools over the years.
Now, I find myself back in Knox County, caring for my aging father who needs my support. It’s been a humbling experience to return home and offer him the help he deserves. In my free time, I enjoy reading, savoring a good cup of coffee, working on my computer, and having deep, meaningful conversations—especially with a woman I truly care for. I’m still waiting to meet her.
