It's kind of funny I'm not really that good at meeting people. I tend to be very shy when I don't know someone, but once I do, I can be extremely gregarious.
I'm MtF trans, i transitioned years ago, so if that's not something that works for you, no worries. I hope you find your person! I also have ADHD and OCD. I take medication to keep it manageable, but I know that's not compatible with some folks. I'm also poor, so I can't afford to do expensive things, but I'm also NOT looking to mooch of someone.
In general, I'm pretty open about who I am, so if you want to know something, feel free to ask.
I try to be very open minded about things and try to not be judgy and just help folks when I can. Part of the reason my political views, which tend to be rather progressive.
I have a lot of intrests and love to learn new things. There are so many amazing things I wish I had the time and resources to learn and experience.
Here's a list of stuff I tend to love:
Roller Derby, I'm not a great skater, but hopefully when my work schedule improves I can go back to practice and try to get decent.
Comic books, I've been collecting since I was 12 and my collection is rather large.
History, I love the story of things and how they got to be the way they are. My interest is all over the place, but I really like the history of cultural things like food or language over military history.
Movies, I love all sorts of films. I like watching stuff with others so we can talk about it afterwards. I also love bad movies and will always love MST3K. I have a B.A. in film production that I'll be paying off for the rest of my life. I used to work as a video editor. Freelancing in upstate NY was not sustainable, so I'm currently working a survival job, but I hope to get back into making stuff eventually.
I love music, there's good music in almost any genre and I love hearing something new. Currently, two I'm listening to are Patty Gurty and Thomas Benjamin Wild, Esq.
I love the outdoors and am fascinated with the natural world. So if you're into hiking I'm game.
I love all sorts of games and am a fan of tabletops, but I've rarely had people to play with. I have a lot of old Vampire the Masquerade books, (Pre-2005) and would love to find people to play a retro campaign with.
I like reading and am willing to give most things recommended to me a try. I'll always have a soft spot for fantasy, Raymond Chandler detective novels, and old lesbian pulp fiction.
I love to cook and love to be creative with the food I make.
