About Me:
I am a native Detroit, having "rolled off the Assembly Line" at Henry Ford Hospital at 12:01 a.m. on July 4, 1952. I grew up around the campus of Wayne State University where I was exposed to Theater, Art and Music through the the Culture Center. I graduated from Cass Technical High School with a Commercial Art degree. While growing up, I was fascinated by movies and television, and would read anything I could find on the subject, or look for television programs about the subject. At age 11 I started experimenting with animation. This lead to my first professional exposure as I entered high school. I later attended Wayne State University where I majored in Film and Television Production.
I served for seven years in the U.S. Navy as a Motion Picture Specialist,filling a Junior Officer's position and was a Producer for the Navy Office of Information in Washington, D.C. Following my Honorable Discharge, I was the Corporate Writer/Producer of informational videos for General Dynamics Land Systems for two years. I then spent the next 20 years on the west coast where I worked in the Animation Industry as an Animator and Director. I returned to Michigan in 2008 and was an Instructor at Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids for five years. In 2021, I returned to the Metro Detroit area ready to start a new phase in my life. While I will be turning 73 this year, I continue to be in excellent health, and people tell my I appear to be much younger than I am, which is quite gratifying to hear.
I have many interest that include an appreciation of art, music, reading, writing, travel, dining, dancing, gardening, and home improvement projects. I enjoy positive activities and positive, energetic people. Even though I am retired, I continue to do occasional freelance video projects and pick up seasonal Customer Service jobs to keep busy.
