About Me:
I am a retired engineering executive who currently volunteers guiding Chemical Engineering grad students with their research work. I love music (Classic Rock and Classical) and have been playing bass clarinet in community bands for the last ten years. I was a competition class runner for 26 yrs (I quit at age 65 because I didn't have a running partner and there wasn't much competition where I used to live). I completed 30 marathons and was ranked #9 in the nation at 800 meters when I was 60yo. Although I haven't been running, I intend to start again very soon but do not plan to return to competitive levels, just jogging.
I am also a certified scuba diver with over 500 dives and was a volunteer search and rescue diver for my local sheriff's department until 2020 (in Colorado). I also learned to kayak and love paddling when the opportunity presents itself.
