About Me:
Being a Christian, and how that affects the way I look at the world, is important to me. I am living life solo with my Golden Doodle, Andy. I am a transplanted Texan, so I grew up very cowboy, horses, the whole nine yards. However, I have been in GA almost 30 years now, so all of that is very far behind me. I have been a hunter my entire life, and only about the last 3 years I have kind of lost my passion for it. However, if you were going to spend a lot of time around me, you should not feel uncomfortable with the possibility of guns being around. A typical evening around our house would be going for a walk, reading, or watching a show/movie, or sitting out by the fire pit and relaxing. If I get bored, I do like to play a computer game occasionally. Weekends we are catching up around the house, and sometimes Andy and I will cut loose and take the kayak to the nearby state park, or go for a hike there. If I did get serious with someone, I would like to find a church together that we both feel comfortable in. I keep an audiobook going in the car all the time instead of music (when I'm alone). However, I am a lover of music, but unfortunately my taste in music got stuck a few decades back lol. I like most types of music from the 70s, 80s, up until the present, although I probably couldn't name a current singer. I currently travel a couple of weeks a year for vacations, but I'd like to do more of that after I retire. I have cruised all over the Caribbean, but would go again if that is what you like to do. I am thinking of retirement in 2 to 5 years, and it would be nice to have someone like minded to share that time with. Longer range plans might include moving closer to a beach somewhere, however, I still help out an aging parent that also lives close by, so that would have an affect on long range plans too.
My Ideal Match:
I am looking for a very sweet natured person; definitely not hateful or drama centered. Race/color is not important to me. If you are interested in spending time together, but not necessarily the long-term retirement thing, then I could be open to that too. That is why I put "girlfriend" on my profile instead of long term only. I'm pretty laid back, so you would have to decide if that fits your lifestyle. I've been divorced for a couple of years, so I am just looking for a change, and someone to spend time with in the evenings and on weekends, and sleepovers back and forth when/if you are comfortable with that. I haven't hardly dated at all over the last couple of years, and I am hoping to avoid the horror stories lol. Hopefully I could be someone to help you avoid the horror stories too.
