I'm a terrible writer so I'll be adding onto this over time. Just an FYI so there are no surprises, my username on here is obviously not my real name for privacy reasons. My friends call me Val :)
My job tends to eat up a lot of my time and prevents travel, but I'm almost always able to be contacted directly on Discord. I'm open to public and private meetups but it's not always possible.
I don't like jumping the gun on relationships until I know I can relate to you on an emotional and intimate level. I want to make that clear upfront because I've been duped before by people who are very proficient at hiding their true personality. Because of this, I've become very good at cold reading and understanding how people think after hearing how they speak and respond. I'm not afraid to speak the truth and I openly respect candidness, so if you have an honest and loving personality we'll both have a very easy time getting along, but I can't play with someone I can't *at least* be friends with.
My current method of travel is walking, which is part of the reason I am so thin. I've received several rude messages regarding my weight and I apologize if it somehow offends you, don't make it your mission to seek out other people for the sole purpose of belittling them. I am a previous victim of domestic abuse and my access to food was limited for a very long time. I may initially come off as a tad anti-social depending on the circumstances and our first impressions of each other. The upside to this is that despite previous circumstances I have learned how to handle relationships and how I associate with others without increasing my potential attack surface to those who just aren't interested. If I don't immediately open up to you please keep this in mind that it's not you, it's me. I went to a community college to major in Computer Science for an Associate's degree, eventually transferring to DePaul CDM to pursue a degree in network technologies with a network security concentration and minor in internet forensics. I later found that it would be financially unfeasible and later enrolled with University of the People for a Bachelors of Computer Science, which is where I am currently taking classes.
I'm currently working from home as a tenured case manager for an unnamed Fortune 500 company that works in Education. I was originally working with the company under IT, but corporate powers from above have called me back to the salesforce. I'm always looking for new opportunities and my current position is not befitting to my education.
I swear I'm not all business and formalities! I'm an avid programmer, a PC gamer, and a lover of anime. I'm a retired aspiring author, composer of music, and digital artist, but pursuing these activities have caused a lot of fatigue and my interest in them faded over time.
