About Me:
Hi, David in Frankston here. Former High school teacher of 17 years who then moved into Academic publishing visiting lecturers at universities to discuss their textbook needs. I sang with Savoy Opera Company in the 80s and 90s and performed in a World Premiere in 1985 when the company took Gilbert & Sullivan's, HMS Pinafore to the Polly Woodside which was also celebrating its centenary. It was the first time the opera had been performed on an actual sailing ship anywhere in the world. I play the guitar and sing folk songs by Dylan, Bogle, Garbutt, Baez etc. A keen golfer, I moved to hear when we separated to be close to my golf club. I only play on days ending in 'Y'. That's my little joke...I have a great sense of humour which friends say is my best asset. I love most genres of music: classical and opera; folk; blues; rock; hip hop; BUT not that Doof Doof rubbish you hear from cars and which can be heard 3 postcodes away! I love romcoms like Notting Hill, Sleepless in Seattle, You've Got Mail. I also love musicals and my favourite would be High Society. What a cast and great music.
I enjoy watching the cricket, AFL (Car'n the Cats)! Golf, Some rugby, Storm. Love British comedy and tv shows like 'Would I lie to You'. My favourite series would be 'Yes Minister' and 'Yes Prime Minister'. So damn clever and still resonates in today's political landscape.
