10 Creative Date Ideas That Will Blow Her Mind

Creative Date Ideas That Will Blow Her Mind

You've been dating her for a while. All's well in paradise.

Your sex life is hotter than an erupting volcano.

You spend time with each other and hours are flying by like seconds.

You just cannot keep your hands and your minds off each other.

But. There's always a but.

But that won't last forever. If you want to keep that spark, you need to stay on your game. Mix things up. Keep suprising her. The twenty-seventh time Netflix & Chill won't feel as cozy and comfortable to her as the first time. Neither will the thirteenth time of going for drinks at TGIF.

Lucky for you, I compiled a list of easy and creative date ideas. Be careful with it though. I can guaran-damn-tee that no one else has ever taken her on such adventures as you are about to. It will turn her from "mere girlfriend" into "eternally enamored biggest admirer". This list is dynamite so handle it with care.

Take her to the airport to go plane watching

Women love travel. But even more than travel they love the feelings that come with traveling. You can go on a holiday or a mini vacation with her. But you can also act out a travel fantasy. Take her to the airport and go plane watching. Fantasize about all the different destinations that people are flying to and all the naughty things the couples will do there. You can even take pictures for her Instagram and pretend you're really flying somewhere (cause you know how girls are all about the 'Gram today). This works even better if you can follow it up a few weeks later with a surprise mini vacation to a destination you were fantasizing about.

Go watch a sports event

Girls aren't usually into sports. But I found that you can absolutely go to certain sports events with your girlfriend. Basketball is a good one because they put on a good show and it's very family-friendly. Ice hockey is decent as well. Both do not take overly long and there's enough action without significant downtime. It's a bit like going to the movies only that you can actually talk to each other. Don't go to something like baseball or football because those take too long and she will get bored eventually. A good date idea to mix it up.

Drink tea in a real Japanese tea room

This one is actually also a good idea if you aren't dating yet. Tea rooms have a very calm atmosphere. Find a good one that is run by actual Japanese people because there is much more to it than just drinking tea. It's an entire ceremony and a process that brings people closer together. When I took my girl there, we had a very deep and meaningful conversation about each other's past and future. Plus the tea you get is ten times more delicious than what you buy from the store. A fantastic dating idea if you want to bond with her.

Hop into a car and start driving

Take your own car or rent one and go for a ride. If you happen to live in a rural area, it will be very easy to drive away from civilization. If you're in a big city, this is a great opportunity to get away from it all. I would actually suggest not having a specific destination in mind but just driving "wherever the road takes you". That way, you won't be counting the hours until you arrive. A long drive through beautiful landscapes can be much more romantic than any hotel you could book. And there's always the possibility to get some action on the road if you know what I mean…

Visit a quirky museum

In big cities, there are always a few unusual museums that you can visit. Moscow for example has a sex museum and an arcade games museum. Munich has the BMW museum (ok, not that quirky but cool regardless). Hamburg has a museum for miniature toys. Do some research and find what cool museums your city or a city nearby offers. They provide genuine entertainment and are (very important!) instagramable too.

Go to a real fresh food market and buy ingredients

Of course, you can do simply grocery shopping. Or you could go to the market, where you can buy fresh fruits, vegetables and meat from your own region. Think of something that you want to cook and make the entire process an adventure – from writing up the shopping list to going to the market to pick up the right ingredients to the cooking itself. This is the ideal date for a lazy Sunday.

Take a cooking masterclass

Another food-related date idea is booking a masterclass with a chef. I'd suggest doing something unusual that you cannot do at home. For example, I went to a molecular cuisine masterclass that taught us how to use liquid nitrogen, produce chocolate that looks like dirt and other fun stuff. You can also choose a more "applicable" masterclass where you'll learn something that you can actually replicate at home.

Visit a silent disco

You will have to dig a bit but sometimes you can find "silent disco" parties in bigger cities. Everyone puts on a pair of headphones and dances in complete silence while enjoying the music. I actually went to one without being on a date and wished I had brought someone with me. You can totally lose yourself in the music and it's great when you have someone nearby you can share the experience with.

Go watch the stars

This is a mandatory date for everyone that lives outside of a big city. Watching the stars on a mild summer night is possibly one of the most romantic things you can do. You can actually bring alcohol to loosen up the atmosphere but that shouldn't even be necessary. A blanket will do the trick. An absolute fantastic date if you want to bond with her and because it's dark and all that, you know what can happen on that blanket…

Read a book together

This is a bit old-school but why not just read a book to each other? I bet you haven't had anyone read to you since you were five years old and your grandmother read fairy tales to you. This will bring up beautiful childhood memories and make reading fun again. Of course, you can pick something naughty as well to spice things up if you wish.

The wrap-up:

These 10 ideas alone will keep you occupied for a year minimum. If you're not even at the stage where you have a girlfriend then you should probably read my guide on the do's and don'ts of dating. A lot of this advice works in the US just as well as in Russia.
