The singer tried to play it cool and be mature about the situation. However, the song reflects his anger in its sarcasm. Armstrong says that’s why he included the lyrics “I hope you have the time of your life” in the song.

They channeled their feelings into what would become the album “Hushed and Grim.” While almost any song from that album would fit, I chose “Eyes Of Serpents” because it symbolizes moving on after losing a loved one.
