Heyo! I'm a geek womyn, been so since I was 11 - I describe my fandoms as Star Trek > Star Wars, DC > Marvel and Looney Tunes > Disney. I still enjoy them all, just some more than others. My hobbies are: playing boardgames (the new European ones are so much fun), riding my bike, reading, watching TV, going out to movies and plays, dining in and out (I love to cook and its fun to create cuisine together), pinball, dancing, seeing live music and other fun activities. I'm a percussionist in a community brass band so I have rehearsal once a week and we play gigs off an on....all part of the ATX brass band scene. I also enjoy watching sports live and on tv - I've recently fallen in love with Banana Ball (especially as one of their teams has an out womyn as their coach!). I'm still working for the time being (in ATX) and I get to work from home a couple days a week. As for shows I watch - I'm all over the map - from romcoms, cooking competition shows, documentaries, PBS shows, British fare and some of the fun shows on the classic networks. Shows fhat have affected me: The Good Place, Homicide: Life on the Streets, Broadchurch and I enjoy the late nights hosts and Jon Stewart for my nightly news. I'm a breast cancer survivor (double mastectomy 2012) and I identify - and have been told, if labels are needed - I'm a soft butch. Politically if you are in favor of the current Insurrectionist run administration, please pass me by - I'm very liberal and will be active in local issues and activated to be protecting our fellow citizens. My religion is Unitarian Universalist...more humanist/spiritual than structured. I am a cat parent with two shelter rescued girls - I also love dogs, but since I'm often in ATX I like they can take care of themselves when I'm out and about.
