She walks upon the rocks
She kayaks with the tide
She pulls and tugs at life
Knows its not a lullaby
One who sees the world
Without a magic lens
And steps into the fray
To seek a better end
If she votes her race
She's probably not for me
This land should be a place for all
From sea to shining sea
Will she have the fortitude
To stand an speak her mind
Yet do so with the calmness
Of wisdom oh sublime?

A woman, a partner, a friend
To walk, perhaps to sit with me
And watch the sunset bend
