• Love is complex as it is a combination of things like intimacy, caring, passion, commitment, friendship, and infatuation.
• Love is basically when you are too emotionally invested in your partner. For instance, you care, worry, feel responsible, and want to protect your special someone.
• Love is a feeling which is more selfless and concerning. The trick is that Love and romance are very subjective things. What may seem like love to one person can be seen as nothing more than friendship for another.
• Love is obstinate. This is the reason why you miss someone so much even they are not there, even if they are on the very next room. Your soul only feels their absence.
• Love involves recurrent and excessive distress about anticipating or being away from the loved one.
• Love is a drive, a divine motivation and part of our physiology. Release of oxytocin produces calming afterglow from o*gasm and sex.
• Love is not lust. Despite the phrase “it was love at first sight,” which is physical admiration, love takes time to mature and evolve into a relationship with patience and resilience.
• Desire, on the other hand, is often linked to lust or attraction, which tends to be more surface-level and can come and go with changes in mood.
• Desire is a strong feeling of wanting to have something or wishing for something to happen.
• Desire explodes past the borders of law, time or right and wrong. But it drives us beyond the bounds of our comfort zone.
• Desire is not something that can be toned down or captured within the confines of social expectations or structures. Desire is intense.
• Desire leaves us feeling frustrated and wanting more. That’s because what we desire is a perfect experience of each of our transcendental desires.
• Desire is an obsession. Love is all about comfort and safety. At the same time desire is all about breaking those barriers and exploring other territories.
