All communication can be done directly through your username and inside the website!
Instructions, Tools & Management:
Use the cog wheel on the right-hand friends menu to view your main options. Options include Managing your friends list or controlling your main chat status. Setting your status to "Offline" will turn off your chat and hide your online chatting status. You can turn it back to "Online" again at any time or set it to "Away". On the Friends List Management screen, you can accept/decline new friend requests or remove friends from your Friends List.
In addition, when you click on a friend on the right-hand friends menu, you have the option to view their profile, initiate chat or hide your online status from them (turn off chat for a specific user).
When you click the "Chat Now" link for a friend, a popup chat box appears. You can send a message to them and they will receive it immediately. Also from the chat box, there are a few other features. Clicking the button will setup live, streaming video chat using your web cam and microphone, the button will setup a VOIP audio-only call using your microphone, and the button will allow you to select a photo on your device and instantly send it to your friend.

I appreciate the response and will post here again if I see more spam. I'm curious, did you remove the spam or did the spammer remove it? I ask because he also had a couple non spam post he put up just before he posted a link to a crypto site. If he was monitoring his other post then I have no doubt he saw my post and maybe he deleted the spam.
I have kicked around the idea of volunteering to be a moderator but I'm concerned that I may not have the technical expertise to do the job. I'm retired and have a lot of free time which I could devote some for helping the site and that would also help keep me off the streets.
I actually removed the spam myself. I also noticed that he had non-spam posts, so I just left those alone. Usually we won't delete all posts from users unless it turns out that it's a fake nigerian account trying to trick everyone, or if the majority of their posts are spam.
We appreciate your offer to help moderate the site. I'll try developing the moderator tools on the new forum to be as simple as possible, so there won't be as much technical work involved.
Rather than try repairing it, we'll be concentrating our efforts on building the new forum that will come out when 2.0 launches. The new forum will have a better, more organized system and it will be capable of having real moderators who wish to volunteer.
An added bonus: When the new forum is live, users will get instant notifications within the website when users reply to them. This will help promote live interaction and make the site more fun.
It's a massive undertaking, but we are getting closer to launching the 2.0 site. It will be worth it to stick around a little longer.
