All communication can be done directly through your username and inside the website!
Instructions, Tools & Management:
Use the cog wheel on the right-hand friends menu to view your main options. Options include Managing your friends list or controlling your main chat status. Setting your status to "Offline" will turn off your chat and hide your online chatting status. You can turn it back to "Online" again at any time or set it to "Away". On the Friends List Management screen, you can accept/decline new friend requests or remove friends from your Friends List.
In addition, when you click on a friend on the right-hand friends menu, you have the option to view their profile, initiate chat or hide your online status from them (turn off chat for a specific user).
When you click the "Chat Now" link for a friend, a popup chat box appears. You can send a message to them and they will receive it immediately. Also from the chat box, there are a few other features. Clicking the button will setup live, streaming video chat using your web cam and microphone, the button will setup a VOIP audio-only call using your microphone, and the button will allow you to select a photo on your device and instantly send it to your friend.

To save members to your friends & chat list, you must have a free account with LetsHangOut.com and be logged in.
No porn or nudity on the public-facing side of the site (your profile, public forum posts, etc.). You can share that in private chat/messaging with other users though, as long as they are ok with it.
No phone numbers or email addresses on the public-facing side of the site. That's what Nigerian scammers do to get people to contact them so they can steal/sell your phone number and email address. You can share that info in the private messages.
Non-solicited bulk spamming or contacting people out of the blue and dropping a phone number or email address, will likely result in a ban. Way too many Nigerian/Ghanan scammers are doing this. We have to ban them constantly, every day. Usually we wipe out 99% of them within the first 24 hours of them signing up - we have lots of ways of identifying them. If they are still around after 24-48 hours after signup, there is a much better chance that the user is real.
Just throwing this out there: We understand the current private messaging system is not the best, as well as these forums. We are developing a better private message system that will work/look like Facebook Messenger with group chat and everything, so this will help the issue of having to use a 3rd-party system for chatting. LetsHangOut relaunch should (hopefully) happen late this year, site will look completely different, will work much better, and we'll have better tools to combat scammers. We are putting all our efforts into developing the new version.

Just some news: Our membership growth is steadily increasing month over month, our site is more active than it's ever been and we've gotten better at dealing with the bots and fakes. We are working on a 2.0 version of the site, major league project in the works. Unlimited photo upload, video upload, better notifications, better organization - better everything and still completely free to use. Unfortunately it is taking a bit longer than expected, hopefully we can release it later in the year.
As the above user recommended, we'll also be offering that free and optional photo verification service as well. Users will be able to filter search and restrict mail/contact settings for verified users.
Every day we moderate new users, and we are deleting tons of scam/fake profiles you'll never see, we usually knock out 99% of them, leaving almost all real members. Also, you are not "too late" to the site. We are actually fairly new and the user traffic/interest has been increasing as of late.
Just a heads up: We are aware that the site does have an "old" look to it, bugs with this forum, and there are some problems/confusions with trying to find members - I'm not completely satisfied with it myself. We are actually building a completely new, 2.0 version of the site that will be a bit more modern and more interactive. On the new site, users will be able to upload 1000s of photos/galleries, upload videos, live stream, etc. However, it's going to take a bit more time updating the servers, designing the new site, and most importantly, designing the site to be more organized and easier to browse, easier to find people.
