Why does this site want to scare women off? (33)

I've only been a member for a few months but there's a glaring issue with the forums. From looking at them a new member might think that it's just a place for perverts. When you click on the forum page and you look to the right in the recent discussions list you will see things like "pu**y licking", "how big is your d*ck" and "Does your c*ck swell up while you're fucking?". It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand that many people would see that and decide this isn't the place for them and never come back. The majority of the ones lost are going to be women and it's women that men seek and without them even the hardcore men will leave.

I'm a free speech kind of guy but if this was my website I would not allow such perverted discussions on it. But it's not my site and I'm not asking that they be removed. What I am asking for is a compromise. It's a compromise that I believe would benefit the site.

I don't know all the technical aspects of it or how easy it would be to implement it but I suggest the adult content be put in a separate area that doesn't show up in the recent discussions list. It will still be available, it just won't be so in your face like it is now. I mean let's be real. How many people really want to see headlines like " How big is your d*ck" whenever they look at the recent discussions list?

The other part would be keeping the adult content where it belongs and not spread all over the rest of the forums by those that think everybody wants to read their x rated stuff. That would require a change in the T.O.S. to allow banning of those who can't keep it where it belongs.

Just to reiterate, I believe that many of the people who join don't come back because of the blatant in-your-face adult content they see when they first go to the forums. Women would be turned off the most but so would some of the men.

We are developing the new forum for the 2.0 version of the site. The new forum is going to have features to hide adult/x-rated type discussions from the general public - unless users choose to display those types of threads. We will likely need some volunteer moderators to help keep an eye on this when traffic picks up. We definitely want to move away from being considered an x-rated/adult type of site, because that is not what we are and not what our vision is. We'll try making some kind of balance there, so the adult community can still hang out in those threads.

An added bonus: When the new forum is live, users will get instant notifications within the website when users reply to them. This will help promote live interaction and make the site more fun.

Do you really think you're educating people? Or just trying to satisfy your perversions? I find it very odd that you have so much of a problem with an autobiographical portion of my life. Could it be you harbor some jealousy that I actually did something note worthy in my life and all you've done so far is feed your perversions? You'd be wise to step back and really look at what you're doing and saying on here because if you want people to think you're just an idiot, then you're accomplishing that in spades. Whether anyone believes my story or not doesn't matter because it felt good to finally tell people a little bit about my life. I have many more stories because I lived through many things. Like in 1974 when I was 12 years old myself and a friend hitchhiked from Phoenix Arizona up the coast of California to San Francisco and back. I had a blast and met many interesting people. One of the things that really stuck with me was a particular instance we had with a couple of people we met. It happened because the 101 freeway stopped being a freeway in San Luis Obispo and became a city street with a stoplight about every hundred yards or so.

We got dropped off at the first set of stop lights where there were already a bunch of other hitchhikers trying to get a ride. We sat there for several hours with no luck getting a ride along with everyone else when we saw this short little old lady handing out religious tracts. When she got to us she asked our ages and where we were going. I can't remember all of the conversation but when she handed us one of her tracts she told us that if we walked down to the last stoplight we would have a better chance at getting a ride. I think we were the only ones she said that to because nobody else went down there after she gave them her religious tracts.

We did what she suggested and no sooner did we stick out our thumbs we got a ride.
We were the first ones to get picked up and got to sit up front while this guy filled the bed of his truck with other hitch hikers. A few miles down the road he shared a joint with us and began to tell us about all the bands he worked with as a promoter. Some famous and some soon to be.
We got to his destination about a hundred miles down the road and he dropped us all off. But before he drove away he wrote his name and personal phone number on the back of his business card and said that when we made it to San Francisco to give him a call and if he was in town he would give us backstage passes to a concert. We never took him up on his offer. I think it was mainly out of fear which is surprising given the fact we had the balls to hitchhike the coast of California. That's just a small portion of my hitchhiking trip.

I'm sure someone like you who lives an exciting life wrapped up in sexual perversion will find my little story about a small portion of my life rather boring. And quite frankly the story is boring compared to actually living it. But at least I had a somewhat of an exciting existence compared to your perverse one. It makes me all the more happy I had the life I did compared to yours.

Anyone who reads our interactions would come to the conclusion you're obsessed with me and my male member. I've tried multiple times to get you to realize how bad you look to others by acting the way you do. Wouldn't you rather come off to those on letshangout as an intelligent person? As an example I grew up very poor and there was a time in my early teens when I realized the way I was speaking to others was making me look like uneducated trailer trash. After that realization I made the effort to try and speak properly and respectfully. I found people treated me better and it became easier to get a better paying job where I then got better treatment from the higher ups. I was eventually able to convince them to move me into a much higher paying position that led to me becoming a bakery chef. I eventually left there to run another bakery. But I got out of the business altogether because I got tired of working nights, weekends and holidays. After that I got trained in appliance repair and started my own business. That all happened because I wanted others to see me as the intelligent person that I knew I was.

I have read post here of others complaining about all these people who join but then never return. Some of those not returning were woman. But with a small group (mainly one) of the sexually deprived who have no class are likely running at least some people off the site. It's bad enough with the in-your-face porno post, there's the trolling from one individual. Most people don't want to put up with that. But he's met an immovable object. You know me. There's an up coming update to the site that will put the sex post out of sight of the general members. Maybe that will bring in and keep more people including women. It would also be nice to have a larger pool of people to interact with in the forums. That's one of the biggest problems over at CDFF. There's just not enough participation in the forums. Forums are not for the really weak. you have to have some sort of backbone while at the same time have people posting subjects worth talking about. CDFFs main problem is there clunky forum interface. I believe that is at least a big part of their problem.

Good an upcoming update to the site that will put the sex post out of sight of the general members. I hope that will bring in and keep more people. But I think wise people stay away from these sites. People know how ridiculous it is writing strangers. Strangers on the other side of the world and strangers thousands of miles away. It is a grab bag approach to relationships and is unlikely to produce any meaningful relationship and more correspondences are short-lived. Life was better before the internet.

It's more like missing features on the cdff forum which may very well keep some from participating in them. When it comes to relationships life was better before social media. I don't think the internet without social media had much of a negative effect. I do believe the internet has gone down hill the longer we've had it. It used to be a lot easier to find information. Now that information is increasingly being snapped up and put behind paywalls. It's forced me to go looking for it on u tube where everybody and his brother puts out howto videos that are almost always missing information because they take short cuts and leave things out to make it look easier.

It's like back in the good ole days of watching this old house on PBS where they made it look easy to remodel a house so people who knew nothing about remodeling would attempt to do it themselves and not long into the project they would get overwhelmed and give up.
