About Me:
My indoor activities include browsing the web, playing cards, classic rock, watching tv, and of course watching the Steelers. If I had a special person to share experiences with I'd like going for dinner, movies, the museum, just sitting in the park talking and enjoying each other's company, and of course watching the Steelers.
I'm interested in politics and current events. I'm mainly conservative politically, but with a lot of Libertarian and even a dash of liberalism thrown in. Even at my age, I'm not sure how I stand on some issues. Is that being
indecisive or open minded? I guess it depends on how you look at it. Sometimes both sides have valid arguments and I love playing devil's advocate.
I usually go to the bar about once a week primarily to socialize. I might get a buzz but very rarely drink enough to get plastered. The survey asked if I take drugs and I answered yes because I do smoke pot. I'm definitely not into anything harder than that. But I do drink a few beers while watching the Steelers.
A good companion is someone I can trust. Since I want someone I can trust, I must be trustworthy myself. Although I have my flaws, as we all do, I take pride in my honesty. I believe trust takes a long time to gradually earn, but seconds to lose. I try living my life accordingly.
I don't have any pets now, but I do love animals. Cats are ok, but dogs much cooler. I don't care if your critter jumps up on me in greeting or gets some hair on me. I do prefer they don't poop on me though, just for future reference. Lol. I also prefer a large dog not block the tv while we're watching the Steeler game together.
The perfect date to me would be going to the museum, then taking the incline up Mt Washington for dinner while watching the view of the city. I've never actually taken the incline yet. I want to, but I think I'd enjoy my first time much more if I'm sharing the experience with a special lady. Some things are just better when shared.

My Ideal Match:
I'm looking for a long term relationship with a special lady to share this crazy ride we call life. I'm not looking for marriage or living together, but if that's where our paths lead, then so be it. It doesn't matter much what path we take, what matters is taking that path with the right person.

I don't care if you're not a beauty queen. We've all gained a few pounds and a few wrinkles over the years. I admit that I'm shallow enough to want someone I find reasonably attractive, but that's far down the priority list. I'm more interested in your personality, values, and integrity. We don't have to agree on every topic. That would be boring. I admire intelligence in a woman, and discussing different views is healthy and interesting when done with mutual respect. An intelligent woman can also give helpful advise with whatever personal issues come up. And of course, that's a two way street.
Ideally we'd share a common taste in music. Music has always been important to me. Just please don't ask me to sing. It's that bad. I even lip sync off key.
At our age, we all have baggage. I can accept that you have your baggage also within reason. If you have a family, you're going to have drama. I can handle that. But if you're into hard drugs, have a drinking problem, a recent or long criminal history, then I'm really not interested in a relationship, but wish you well.
If we go on a date, chances are we won't be the right one for each other. That doesn't mean we can't still have an enjoyable time and end up as friends. That would still be a plus. But there's also the chance that we might be exactly what each other is looking for. So let's take a chance and maybe, just maybe, have the adventure of our lives.
