Yes, messages in Inbox disappearing, friends list chat on the right when I type and send, nothing is sent. I hope you have it better working

But ya gotta start somewhere, yes? Too bad a few bad actors had to spoil Craigslist, etc., for the rest of us! Hoping something will evolve to fill the void for those who are looking for friends online. Will hang around here for awhile to see if it becomes more broadly used and worth following. Any other ideas?

It takes consistent effort to use a site, and share it with others, for it to catch on. Hopefully this one can, as I have a problem with paying to join some dating site, and would prefer that there are options out here that are not trying to constantly get money out of us for something as simple as matching folks so they can see if friendship blossoms...

Site Administrator here! To anyone reading this, we are indeed a very new site with many unique features. However, in the past couple of months, traffic on our site has exploded. There are now about 1,000 people visiting our site every single day, and that number continues to increase very quickly. There are lots of former Craigslist personals members signing up here as well. Lots of new members signing up each day and lots of "lurkers" here, more than many people realize!

Please note that there are a handful of fake profiles/scammers who try signing up. They are fairly easy for us to spot and we delete these as quickly as we can, usually within the first 12 to 24 hours that they sign up (oftentimes much sooner). If you receive an inbox message and it disappears, it is because we deleted a scammer and all of their messages. We try to limit the amount of communication/chatting they can do until they've been around for a little while - to prevent scamming and spam. If a profile is up for more than 24 hours, then it is likely a real person. Always be cautious if a member's profile has only been live for less than 24 hours. Practically every profile on our site that has been up for more than 24 hours, is a real person (as best as we can determine).

As for the friends list, you can view profiles and send a Friend Request to them. When they accept, they will be added to your friends list. Use the friends list button on the right-hand side to chat with them live. It works similar to Facebook's live instant messenger. You can send instant photo uploads, live text messages, video chat with your friends using a web cam and microphone, or talk to them audio-only using VOIP with a microphone. However, they must be online in order to chat with them. If the message isn't getting through, they are likely offline.

The site-wide Chat room at the top of the page is very similar. However, oftentimes people aren't in the chat room at the same time, so no one replies. Once in awhile we get a few people online in the chat room at the same time and they can chat live with each other, especially as more members are signing up every day and the site becomes far more active.
