Just wondering since the fakes are so obvious and they just keep coming back time and time again...

Management here! We are definitely moderating the new accounts on a daily basis and deleted the ones that you mentioned in the forums over the past week. Unfortunately, the fake profiles are coming from an endless number of IP addresses from Nigeria and Ghana (mostly using VPN proxies) and they pretend to be mostly women based in the US. Luckily we can tell the difference pretty easily during moderation, but it's a real hassle and a lot of time to deal with every single day, they never stop. Our automated algorithms wipe out 90% of the fake ones in the background that no one ever sees. The other 10% that make it through, are moderated manually and daily. We've discovered that these are not automated bots, but real people in foreign countries manually making these accounts - they seemingly have nothing better to do than bother us.

We recommend caution with new profiles that are newer than 24-48 hours. Unfortunately, we cannot manually moderate nonstop 24/7, so take the newest profiles with a grain of salt. During the first 24 hours or so, we are usually able to get a chance to thoroughly look over each one. The ones that pass moderation, 99% of those are then legit and real - as far as we can tell to the best of our abilities. So the ones that you see that have been around for a week or longer, are probably real, but we still recommend caution.

We are always working on tweaking our automated algorithms, and improving various ways of stopping these foreign fake profiles. We also try to limit the "volume", visibility and messaging of very new profiles to help drown out the spam and annoyance to legit members. It's not perfect. We are still working hard on the 2.0 re-launch of LetsHangOut, which is going to have a lot more improvements in this area.

Seems to happen everywhere. I'm new to this and the only activity I've gotten were fake. I have not had a single person friend request me or literally anything regarding real people. It's a shame really because some of us are fun dudes. Heck even when I go to the games to try and chat there and play some, I see no games. Something is wrong with the site or its my settings, something weird lol anyway have a good day!! 💙😊😊😁
