Everyone was killing one another again and again repeatedly and the alien life-form would bring them to life again and again thriving upon the conflict. Their fuel was the conflict. Conflict sustained it. It fed on ill energy. We need that kind of energy to power the world. If only we can harness that energy, ALL OF OUR POWER NEEDS WILL BE MET.

Offtard is an arrogant sexist mind player. His goal in life is to make women feel his is superior to them. I guess that feeds his ego and apparently that’s all he has in life is ego.
Anyone who believes his bullshit deserves to be played. “He’s not going to be around much longer - now he has treatments that might give him a year or few”. Hell we all might only have a few years. We don’t know. But oh feel sorry for me cause Ive got cancer, listen to me and I’ll tell you what’s best for you, and I’ve been trained and n electricity so I’m better than you. lol what a joke. As I say if you fall for all of that go ahead. I know better.

Maybe she has sucked all the salt out of you like another Star Trek episode with a salt-sucking creature.

Do any of your kids have interest in your offgrid set-up?

I think some young women would want you for your house and acreage and your offgrid setup.
Maybe an earth-friendlier single site would get you one of those babes. Then you'll feel your power start to return. Instead of a salt-sucking creature draining you of all your energy.

That was one ugly creature with a heck of a set of lips. I haven't woke up with lip marks all over my body so I don't think it was that particular raving beauty.

You could be like Dustin Hoffman in the Little Big Man where he's in his Tee Pee and his wife brings in her 2 sisters and each takes their turn keeping him warm. Jumpy smilie emoji/emoticon smiley

Anytime I don't have to pay as much for electricity is a good day. So yes my limited off grid system is plugging along and carrying me right along with it. My neighbor helped replace one of the mc4 connectors that had fried. It probably happened because the mc4 connector I used was not of sufficient quality and wasn't making a very good connection and that caused it to heat up and over time the connection continued to get worse until it literally burned up. That bad connection removed 1/6th of my systems solar capacity and since it's a smaller system it didn't amount to a lot but every bit helps. And given my system is pretty well balanced to my usage there was a noticeable loss.

This past year seemed to have a lot more overcast and rainy days which meant I was putting my inverters into bypass more often to keep the batteries sufficiently charged in case of an emergency. I could just let it go into bypass automatically but then it keeps switching in and out of bypass because of the way I have it set up and I have it set up that way so I have more control over everything. That way I'm able to ensure I have fully charged batteries if and when I need them. This has been the only time I've had to do it so much. I thought it had to do with the burned connection but since I repaired it I still have to keep putting it in bypass.

    Often true!
Things are not of "sufficient quality".
My electric boiler system costs more to replace than I paid for the house.
A quality system would cost a fortune.
The popular system is made from parts that corrode and need to be replaced and serviced.
The idea is not to build something to last forever but to give the public poorer quality items so that they need to buy again and again. "Built-in-Obsolescence!" they call it. Like placing asphalt shingles on your roof.

Back in the day companies were able to turn out a quality product that lasted many, many years and they still made a profit. Things still broke down and parts were available at a reasonable price. The manufacture made additional money on parts and sometimes on the labor for the repairs and if not a local repair guy earned a living on doing repairs. Those were pretty simple times and most everybody made enough money to get married, have 10 kids, buy a house and live comfortably.

So what changed? I think the first thing was government over reach and sue happy lawyers along judges wanting to appear relevant and legislating from the bench along with just plain greed. All of which served to increase to cost of manufacturing and the lowering of quality to increase profits.

In the 70s we saw the quality of American cars fall significantly and it took competition from the Japanese to wake up manufactures to the threat of losing their businesses to them and quality improved. Unfortunately now they have all sold out their manufacturing to China who for the most part makes a lot of junk. We no longer have the manufacturing infrastructure to compete so we have to remove China from the equation and rebuild our infrastructure. China has us by the balls on many things and if they choose to squeeze them we will feel the pain.

There is for sure "government over-reach" and "sue-happy lawyers".
Much of that is going on.
A lot of truth is suppressed and much progress gets suppressed by different interests.
