Good that you believe in the Bible. Most have not read the Bible. I have read the entire Bible cover to cover and even typed the entire Bible onto disc and proof read it. So, I am familiar with the Bible, and I have read the Apocrypha as well. But most people have not even read the New Testament cover to cover. Anyway, sermons often part from scripture and there is not much agreement on what the Bible teaches when no one much reads it. I have had ONE woman and a couple children through her. She left me after I got her to the states. My kids are grown. I will like more kids. I don't really like the idea of marriage as no one much follows Bible teachings and everyone teaches something other than what the Bible teaches. Especially the government! So, it is good not to marry. (Matthew 19:10 and 1 Corinthians 7:1) Yet celibacy ain't for everyone. Maybe we can write by regular mail if you're interested.

The Catholic church has two rites. One rite allows priests who were married before becoming a priest to have a wife. The other rite takes a vow of celibacy. But the Pope comes from the rite that has no wife and vows celibacy.

In the Bible, Peter had a mother-in-law, which means also that he had a wife. (Matthew 8:14)
1 Corinthians 9:5, Paul said, "Don’t we have the right to take a believing wife along with us, as do the other apostles and the Lord’s brothers and Cephas?"
Cephas translates "Peter".

I am not Roman Catholic, but I appreciate their stand for life. Ironically, Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi are both Catholic. The irony!

The Bible teaches that a leader in the church is to be the husband of but one wife. (1 Timothy 3:2 and 12, and Titus 1:5-7)

Yes, in the early centuries of the Church, clerical celibacy was not universally enforced, and some priests, bishops, and even popes were married (Pope John X11?). Some Orthodox and Protestant priests were also married.

I am not a born Christian. However, I am not in favor of polygamy though Bible nowhere explicitly condemns polygamy.

But wisdom is to not marry at all these days. No guy with his head screwed on straight wants to marry these days. Wisdom tells us not to marry.

I will certainly take time and discretion to choose my partner. I don’t want to think like other romantic partners who might incorrectly assume that deciding to tie the knot is a lengthy and deliberative decision. I should trust my partner, align my goals with his, feel safe with him keep my job steady and my parents like my partner before I commit for marriage.

I would say YES, but under the condition that it be heavily monitored by an adult AT ALL TIMES.

Today's youth have such poor social skills, they need to learn them somehow. AND young boys need to learn that women are NOT just sexual objects, as they see them on the Internet.

Once upon a time we were taught this by our parents by how our fathers treated our mothers. Now, with all the broken families, children learn from outside sources. Thinking that all women are nothing more than c*m dumpsters is no way to raise the next generation.

Of course, we have plenty of "men" here who think that way here.
