It's like that on FB, IG, Twitter and other sites made for dating. I'm even getting text messages from random numbers asking for someone who isn't me. When I tell them politely that they have the wrong number, they act all apologetic for bothering me because their assistant wrote the number down wrong.
Lost count how many times that excuse was used. Then they start the phishing script asking about me personally.
Best thing to do is just block them the instant it becomes clear they are just looking for an easy sucker. -

Because they are scammers think about it if someone sent you money. Or a gift card would you show up to meet them why would you they got what they wanted regardless of the dollar amount

You gotta be on guard at all times on these sites...Man it is so disgusting! Even the ones who are...."Escorts" want to be paid half up front. Back in the day before all this internet scams if you wanted a girl like that you paid when she got to you. I bet if you do you don't hear from them again. Nothing is like it used to be. Just got back into the dating thing a few months ago....so different. Peoples attitude, expectations and demands are so different. Most are completely unreasonable! -
